Castle Cary, Somerset

Why not use Castle Cary to explore the beauty of the historic city of Bath, with its famous Roman spas, which lies only 24 miles to the south of the town.

With the following attractions only a short distance away, Cary Place provides the perfect base for a Somerset break.

Glastonbury – famed for its Abbey ruins, the dramatic land mark of Glastonbury Tor, visible on the skyline for miles around and, of course home to the famous annual Glastonbury Music Festival

Wells, Somerset

Wells – The smallest city in England, famed for its spectacular cathedral and the historic Bishops Palace holds an excellent street market twice weekly.

In addition, the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast lies some 40 miles away to the south

For shopping, we are located a short drive from the beautiful Dorset town of Sherborne and closer still lies the market town of Frome.
A few miles from our doorstep you can browse around the Kilver Court Outlet Village with its host of designer brands and, of course, the famous Mulberry Factory Shop, while the Clarks Outlet Village lies a short distance away at Somerton.

If you are still feeling energetic, there are several walks around Castle Cary itself, taking in the local points of interest and many affording spectacular views of the town and adjoining countryside.

The Bath and West Showground, home of the annual Royal Bath and West Show and The National Gardening Show, are approximately 5 miles distant.
